A Quieter Side of Nuku’alofa

Little Italy is set on the quieter, residential side of Nuku’alofa. The neighbourhood is peaceful during the day and comes alive in the evenings, when guests and customers arrive at our Italian restaurant downstairs, bringing music, chatter, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere — making Little Italy feel like the heart of the neighbourhood after dark.

About a 20-minute walk or a short taxi ride away, you’ll find Nuku’alofa’s key landmarks and business hubs, including the banks, Fa’onelua Convention Centre, High Commissions, Immigration Office, Royal Palace, Talamahu Market, Langafonua Gallery & Handicrafts Centre, cafés, and the central business district — making us an ideal base for both work and leisure.

Standard Room

Our Standard Rooms are cosy in size but thoughtfully arranged to offer all the comforts you need for a relaxing stay. Each room features a king-size bed with quality linens and a private ensuite bathroom. Don’t be misled by the word “standard” — this room type offers the same comfortable amenities as our Ocean View rooms, and is arranged to provide business-friendly features, including free wireless internet and an IDD telephone.

Ocean View Room
From TOP$490 per night

Our Ocean View Rooms are compact yet comfortable, thoughtfully arranged to offer everything you need for a relaxing stay. Each room features a king-size bed, private ensuite bathroom, and a private balcony with outdoor seating overlooking the Pacific Ocean — perfect for unwinding during your time in Nuku’alofa. From your balcony, watch the morning sunrise or the beautiful moon and stars at night, and if you’re lucky, you might spot whales swimming by during whale season (July to October) or catch a cruise ship passing through. You’ll also enjoy the lively buzz of diners visiting our popular Italian restaurant downstairs.

We also have one interconnecting Ocean View option, ideal for families or groups travelling together. It connects a standard Ocean View Room (king-size bed) with an adjoining room that features a double bed, full kitchen, full-size refrigerator, and microwave — perfect for longer stays or self-catering. Standard Ocean View rates apply per room. Please note: this interconnecting option must be booked directly with the hotel (not through the website) and is subject to availability.

Superior Room

Our Superior Room is the largest and most spacious option at the hotel, ideal for families, groups travelling together, business travellers, or guests planning a longer stay. Beautifully appointed and thoughtfully designed, it features a king-size bed, a queen-size sofa bed, and two comfortable single sofas, comfortably accommodating up to four guests. An additional full-size single bed is available on request for $50 per day. Step out onto your private balcony and enjoy the view over our lush palm trees — a tropical setting to start or end your day. With its generous layout and homely feel, it’s perfect for those who want extra space to relax, work, or settle in for an extended stay in Nuku’alofa. A full kitchenette will be available from July 2026.

To celebrate 30 years of Little Italy, we’re delighted to introduce our Little Rooms — a new addition to our room categories, offered at a very special, affordable rate as our way of saying malo and grazie mille — thank you a thousand times — to all our guests, old and new.

The Little Room is a new room type, not a newly built room. It’s part of our existing hotel, now offered as a separate, more affordable category for guests seeking great value.

Our Little Rooms are compact, comfortable rooms ideal for solo travellers or couples looking for great value without compromising on essentials. Furnished with a double bed, the rooms offer a partial ocean glimpse alongside views of the surrounding neighbourhood.

Please note: the entrance to this room is located directly on the landing steps.

Room amenities: Double bed with fresh linens, private ensuite bathroom, flat-screen TV, air conditioning, complimentary unlimited Wi-Fi, tea and coffee facilities with teapot, refrigerator, in-room safe, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, telephone, laundry bag, daily room service, and continental and cooked buffet breakfast included.

Guest Information Please read the following information before making reservations.

Total Number of Rooms: 4 Superior Rooms 10 Ocean View Rooms (including 1 interconnecting pair) 6 Standard Rooms 2 Little Rooms

Rates Validity: Valid for guests arriving between 01 Jan 2026 to 31 Dec 2026

Minimum Stay: We accept a minimum 2 night stay.

Payment Option: We accept Visa, Master Cards, there are 4% surcharge for credit card fees. Bank TT, local Company Cheque or Cash.

Internet: Free unlimited wireless internet connectivity throughout the property, available to hotel guests only.

Bed/ Maximum of Guest(s): All Standard and Ocean View bedrooms have 1 King OR 1 Queen size bed only and cater for a maximum of 2 guests in total. There is not enough space in these rooms for an extra single bed. For families or larger groups, our Superior Room is our biggest room, featuring 1 King bed and 1 sofa bed, and can cater for up to 5 people maximum.

Check-in: Check in is available from 2:00PM. If you check-in early and the room is ready, we can check you in right away. If the room is not yet ready, we can store your bags until the normal check-in time of 2:00PM.

Check-out: Guests are required to check out before 10:00AM. We can grant a late checkout up to 12:00pm without an additional charge but need to be booked in advance (at time of booking) and subject to availability. Late checkout after 12pm, full rate will be charged.

Connecting Rooms: We have one interconnecting Ocean View option, ideal for families or groups travelling together. It consists of two adjoining rooms — Room 1 features a king-size bed with standard Ocean View amenities, and Room 2 features a double bed with a full kitchen, full-size refrigerator, and microwave. Both rooms share the ocean view and balcony experience. Each room is charged at the full Ocean View rate per night, and the set is subject to availability.

Children: 1 Child under age of 11 yrs sharing accommodation with parent in existing bedding is free of charge.

Smoking: All rooms are non-smoking. Penalties will be charged to guests who smoke in rooms – TOP$200.00 cleaning fee.

Tax: All rates are inclusive of 15% tax.

Party Policy: Zero tolerance party policy. In the interest of quiet enjoyment and respect for all guests at the hotel, a no party policy applies to all guests staying at the property. Guests are expected to be respectful of other guests at all times, and to be quiet between 10pm-7am. Immediate eviction with no refund applies to any breaches of this policy.

Cancellation Policies:

  • Cancellation more than 7 days prior to arrival – NO CHARGE
  • Cancellation within 7 days – 1 night rate will be charged
  • Cancellation within 3 days – full accommodation price will be charged
  • No refunds for early departures or unused nights.
