A Piece of Italy
in the Kingdom of Tonga
Malo e lelei, Benvenuti and Welcome, we are glad you found us. We are a small, family-run hotel and restaurant with a team that takes pride in what we do, offering comfortable accommodation and a menu with something for everyone.
The story of Little Italy began in 1996 in a traditional Tongan fale (house), one of the earliest Italian restaurants in Nukualofa, welcomed warmly by the local community from the very beginning. As our restaurant grew, we knew it was time to expand. We were truly blessed to find the perfect location just 350 metres away, and in 2007 we built our current three-floor building from the ground up, with arches and Italian character to bring the spirit of Italy to this corner of the Pacific.
We were deeply humbled and honoured when His Majesty the late King George Tupou V graciously inaugurated Little Italy Hotel & Restaurant in 2008, just a few days before his Coronation. Some of his distinguished guests in attendance for the Coronation were the first to grace Little Italy with their stay, an honour we hold close to our hearts.
Thirty years on, the same cuisine that first brought people together in that little Tongan fale is still lovingly served today. We are humbled by the support we have received over the years, and with God's help, we hope with all our hearts that this journey will continue for many more years to come.

Enjoy Italian cuisine in a warm, relaxed setting, open for Dinner Monday to Saturday, welcoming everyone from single diners to big groups.
Our menu has something for everyone from pizza and pasta to steak, fish, seafood, lobster, vegetarian and gluten-free options, alongside Italian antipasti with prosciutto crudo, salami, pastrami, sundried tomatoes, artichoke, and an Italian cheese platter with a selection of fine cheeses including provolone, parmigiano, pecorino romano and gorgonzola, paired with Italian wines.
For groups of 10 to 50, we kindly ask that all orders be placed in advance to ensure a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for everyone.
